I live in Ocala with my three children Michael, Maureen and Margaret Ann. When I am not planning fun, educational material for your children, I enjoy watching all sports ! I have been a loyal fan of the Razorbacks, I attended the University of Arkansas in 1979-1980.I have lived in Florida for many years and I am a faithful Gator fan of 25 years. I am a graduate of Florida Southern. I look forward to a great year with the students of McIntosh Area Charter School!

Third Grade-Becky Hall

Rabecca.Hall@marion.k12.fl.us

I am proud to say that I was the first teacher here at McIntosh Area School. I have been with the school since it opened in 2003. After eight years as the kindergarten teacher, I’m taking on a new challenge as the third grade teacher.

I graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach K-6th grade with an endorsement in ESOL. I am currently back at USF to obtain a masters degree in Educational Leadership. I am enjoying being a teacher and a student.

I believe in educating the whole child. I treat each of my students as the unique individuals they are and help them to reach their full potential. I also think learning can be fun and the best learning is done when you don’t even realize it is happening.  When I am not at school I like to read, watch live baseball/football/basketball games, run, shop ‘till I drop, work on my not-so-green thumb, and travel with my husband Dale.

Fourth Grade-Chelsie Worley

This year I will be the fourth grade teacher so I am looking forward to working with the older students for a change. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and then went to Hillsborough Community College to obtain my teaching certificate.

Fifth Grade-Jessica Hoover

Jessica.Hoover@marion.k12.fl.us
I am a true Florida Gator! I was born and raised in Gainesville, FL and graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters of Elementary Education.  Along with teaching, I love spending time with my husband, daughter and dog Tallulah.

ESE - Mayra Donnell

Mayra.Donnell@marion.k12.fl.us

This year I will be the ESE teacher. As the ESE teacher, I will be present, ready to work inclusively in the classroom with all those students that require special needs. As a graduate of a progressive, constructivist school I will be able to put to use the various learning/teachings styles and different abilities to work with the ESE students. It is my philosophy that all children can learn, and that children have an amazing capacity to achieve within their own learning styles and learning abilities. Over the past ten years of teaching I have taught every grade first through eighth. I am looking forward to working with all the teachers at McIntosh Area School in helping the students achieve to their fullest potential.
