Dress Code – Uniform Policy
Mascot – Bald Eagle
School Colors – Kelly Green and Royal Blue
Uniform Policy: All learners are required to wear uniforms. Research shows that students perform better academically and socially without the distraction of various clothing styles. The uniform consists of navy & beige uniform slacks or shorts for boys, and navy & beige slacks, shorts, skorts, or jumpers for girls. Shorts and skirts should not be shorter than mid-thigh. No denim allowed. Learners wear collared cotton knit shirts in blue, green, red, yellow, or white. A good tennis shoe is best for learner, as they participate in physical activities daily. Plain sneakers and socks are least distracting. No sandals, please. Learners should arrive at school appropriately dressed and well groomed. Make up and jewelry are not allowed.
Governance/School Board Info:
Because McIntosh Area School is a charter school, we have our own school board to govern us. They meet the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm in the McIntosh Civic Center. These meetings are open to the public and are subject to the Florida Sunshine State Law. Items to be placed on the agenda should be submitted to the president of the board or the school office at least seven days prior to the meeting.
